Beaufortia and Allied Genera Study Group

This Group was initially formed with the aim of studying the cultivation and propagation of the genus Beaufortia, a small genus of about 20 species, all of which occur naturally only in south Western Australia. The Group was later expanded to include several other closely related genera – Eremaea, Regelia and Phymatocarpus. All four are also closely related to the more familiar Melaleuca.

Although the Group is now closed, its newsletters are available for download. Subsequently, the Melaleuca and Allied Genera Study Group  and the Calothamnus and Allied Genera Study Group continued the study of some of these plants.

Newsletters

The Study Group’s newsletters document reports from members into cultivation issues, propagation methods and natural occurrences of different species. The newsletters also include information on the taxonomy of the plants being studied.

The following newsletters are available for download and missing issues will be added if copies are located. It is not known if any issues were published after No.16.
