Palm and Cycad Study Group

CLOSED

These two Groups were formed with the aim of studying the cultivation and propagation of Australia’s native palms and cycads with the aim of bringing more of these beautiful plants into cultivation. Initially separate Study Groups were formed – one for the cycads and one for the palms – but these were later merged into a single Group.

Although these groups are now closed, they produced regular informative newsletters which are available for download.

Newsletters

The Study Groups’ newsletters document reports from members into cultivation issues, propagation methods and natural occurrences of different species. The newsletters also include information on the taxonomy of the plants being studied.

The group’s newsletters are provided here as an archive. (Note: Newsletters are in pdf format and will require a PDF Reader to view them. Free readers include Foxit Reader and Adobe Acrobat Reader).
