Australian Plants at Risk

Since European settlement, over 60 species of Australian plants are presumed to have become extinct and many more are at risk from a variety of threats, including loss of habitat, changes to fire regimes and even through the activities of plant collectors. In total, more than 600 plant species are considered to be at risk of extinction if present practices continue and not all are being protected.
