Native Plants Events
The Society’s Regions and District Groups all hold a range of activities throughout the year. Activities include plant sales, wildflower exhibitions, tree and shrub plantings, bush regeneration days, garden visits, bushwalks and regular meetings.
In addition, a number of other organisations hold events and/or plants sales that may be of interest.
The range of events listed below is not a complete list. Please advise the webmaster if you are aware of any other regular wildflower events that are held by non-ANPSA organisations

Australian Capital Territory
Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens hold plant sales in Autumn and Spring. The sales are held at the Botanic Gardens, Clunies Ross St, Canberra.

New South Wales
Illawarra Grevillea Park and Gardens. Open days are held on 6 weekends per year with plant sales included on each day. The Park is a showplace for many plants; there are hundreds of grevilleas and a wide range of other native species in a landscaped setting. The Park is located at the rear of Bulli Showground – turn off the Pacific Highway at the Woonona-Bulli Sports Club, just south of Slacky Creek). It is just a short walk from the Bulli railway station.
Friends of Burrendong Botanic Garden & Arboretum. The Friends hold plant sales at the Garden in Autumn and Spring each year. Follow the Facebook page for dates. Burrendong Botanic Garden & Arboretum is located at 95 Tara Road, Mumbil ( 25 kilometres south-east of Wellington, near Burrendong Dam).
Northern Territory
Olive Pink Botanic Garden, Tuncks Road, Alice Springs. Plant sales are held at the Garden annually.
Queensland
Myall Park Bushland Botanic Garden, 1 Myall Park Road, Glenmorgan. Annual plant sale each spring and at other times during the year.
South Australia
Currency Creek Arboretum Open Days. The arboretum boasts the world’s largest collection of eucalypt species, with over 900 species and over 10,000 individual trees planted over 32 hectares. See the website for open days dates.
Friends of the Arid Lands Botanic Garden, Port Augusta. Plant sales are held each year. For details, subscribe to the Friends’ newsletter.
Victoria
Cranbourne Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens. Plant Sales are offered twice per year, in March and October. Australian native plants which have been propagated and grown by the Growing Friends group are sold to the public near the kiosk at the Northern end of the Australian Garden, Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne.
Western Australia
Friends of Kings Park. Plant sales are held four times per year at KIngs Park and Botanic Garden, Fraser Ave, Perth. A large range of Western Australian native plants are available (many that are not available at commercial nurseries) .
‘Outback Bloom’, Mullewa Wildflower Festival. This four-day annual festival features wildflower displays and guided wildflower walks to explore the natural beauty of Western Australia’s mid west. Mullewa is 450 km north of Perth and 98 km east-northeast of Geraldton.
Ravensthorpe Wildflower Festival. The Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show is a celebration of the amazing flora of the South East Coast of Western Australia. The Ravensthorpe Regional Herbarium is open for guided visits. Ravensthorpe is 541 km south-east of Perth and 40 km inland from the south coast.
Every two years ANPSA holds a Conference and Seminar hosted by one of its Member Societies, on a rotating basis.
The conferences also feature field trips to visit local native plant reserves and established native gardens as well as organised pre- and post-conference tours.
