Eremophila Field Trips
Members of the Study Group participate in field trips from time to time. Field trips enable members to see Eremophila in their natural habitats and to increase our understanding of natural variation and responses to floods, drought and climate change. Significant field trips have included:
- Western Queensland in July 2023 to explore Eremophila in the wild, around Winton, Jundah and environs. Links to member videos from this trip can be found in the Videos and Presentations page.
- Myall Park, Queensland, in July 2021, visiting the Myall Park Botanic Gardens to replenish its Eremophila collection
- Truro, South Australia, in September 2000 to explore Eremophila in the wild and in cultivation. Links to member presentations and videos from this trip can be found in the Videos and Presentations page.
- Port Augusta, South Australia, in September 2017, visiting the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens (AALBG), wild sites and private properties – see images from this field trip below.
These trips are organised by enthusiasts on a voluntary basis and are open to Study Group members.
