The Australian Plants as Bonsai Study Group was one of a number of Study Groups within the Australian Native Plants Society (Australia). The group commenced in 2001 and went into recess in 2017.
The specific aims of the Australian Plants as Bonsai Study Group were to:
- Determine which species are grown as bonsai,
- Determine the horticultural characteristics of each species,
- Determine the horticultural requirements of each species,
- Explore the artistic and aesthetic qualities of species,
- Publish information to help people grow and enjoy Australian plants as bonsai.
Although the Group is now closed, its newsletters are available for download.
